Book Title :: I AM LEGION

Book Sample ::
"Hush little baby don't say a word, mama's
gonna buy you a mocking bird." There was no doubt about it the girl was scared. She had woken
up here chained to a steel ring on the floor. She had no idea how she got here or even where here was.
The last thing she remembered was walking through the mall parking lot to her car. She had decided to stop by the mall real quick to try and find a pair of black pumps to go with her dress. She had a pair at home but thought a brand new pair would look better. She wholeheartedly wished that she had just worn the old pair.
"And if that mocking bird don't sing, mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring." She could hear the singing but couldn't see anything in the pitch-black room. She could tell the singer was a woman and she was close, but whether she was on the other side of the room or a foot away she couldn't tell for sure.
"And if that diamond ring don't shine, mama's gonna stick a needle in your eye." She felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck as the needle pierced her skin. Instantly she was paralyzed. She could still feel everything but no matter how hard she tried she could not move anything below the neck.
The lights came on suddenly and the brightness temporarily blinded her. Once her eyes
adjusted she could see a woman on the other side of the room standing in front of a wooden table.
The woman turned towards her revealing her face. "She is beautiful isn't she?" The voice
coming from behind her was the rich baritone of a man. "You should feel honored that she chose you.
There were several options but she saw something in you. I can't wait to open you up and see what it is." The man said laughing. The woman was making her way across the room towards the girl. Between the mans crazy laugh and the large circular needle and thick spool of what looked like fishing line the woman had in her hands the girl finally cracked. Once she started screaming she couldn't stop.
A pair of strong hands gripped her head from both sides. The pain was intense as the needle pierced her eyelid again and again. When the woman finished with the first eye she cut the line and began to tie another line onto the needle.
"Please, please don't please." The girl sobbed. The woman just smiled and began sewing the other
eye shut. When the woman finished with the second eye the hands released the girls head.
"Now your eyes are sewn shut, so mama's gonna let her knife start to cut. Carve you up like a
roasted hen, now the fun can really begin." The voice of the woman was soft and sweet and in
different circumstances would have been very nice to listen to.
When the knife first started its wet work the girl thought they were burning her. She felt no pain at first only  heat. The heat quickly turned into a razor sharp burning, which grew until it overtook
everything in the girls mind until even her screams seemed to fade away.
The woman was cutting chunks of meat off the girl and laying them in a basin of water beside
her. The man was reaching into the basin and pulling the meat out and running it through a meat grinder. The burger that came out the other end was collecting in a large gray bus tub.
Once the butchering was finished the woman washed up in the sink and went back to the front of the mobile home and started to drive. The man wrapped up all the meat and put it in a large chest freezer. After washing up in the sink he joined the woman in the front seat of the mobile home as they headed back home.
