In the Author's Words :: I'm a Canadian urban fantasy and horror author. My work revolves around monsters, magic, mythology, and ayhem. I started writing in my early teens, and never stopped. I love building unique worlds filled with fun characters and intense action. I'm the recipient of April Moon Books Editor Award for "author voice, world-building and general bad-assery," and the One Book Two Standout Award in 2015 for my Cursed trilogy. I've been featured on various author blogs and publishing websites, and am an active member of the Writing GIAM and Weekend Writing Warrior communities.

When I'm not writing, I'm reading, watching movies, taking photos, gaming, and struggling with chocoholism and ice cream addiction.

I'm currently working on promoting my new novels, "Storm Born" and "Damnation'sDoor," preparing for the second novel in my "Dark Sky" series, and polishing the first novel in an upcoming urban fantasy series called "Areios Brothers."

Any tips for aspiring writers? ::
If you're truly, deeply, honestly passionate about writing as a career, then just write. Take your story and tell it the way you want it to be told. Don't worry about how many people will buy it or what reviewers will say. Write deeply and from your heart. Give the story a soul. Worry about editing, polishing, promotions, etc later. The story comes first. The more you write, the better you will do.
