In the Author's Words :: Children and adults in middle Tennessee were smitten by Chester, my working therapy dog. Since I was already writing novels and nonfiction, folks asked me to do a children's picture book about this loveable Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
That first book was a hit. Chester told the story from his point of view and I used real photographs. Now there are five 'Chester the Chesapeake' picture books featuring him and his canine brothers and kitty sister

In this second book of the Chester the Chesapeake's series, Chester
asks his goofy brother Russell for help. Together they show the new dog the
joys of summer.

What's on the Horizon? :: Because these stories are inspired by true events
and the antics of Chester and his brothers, I never know when the whim
strikes to grab my camera and start working on the next book.
However, between Chester's work as a therapy dog and our book events and
readings up and down the East Coast, we're one busy team!
