Review: Too Blessed to Be Stressed Cookbook

I received a copy of Too Blessed to be Stressed Cookbook  by author Debora M Coty in exchange for an honest review from the publisher via NetGalley.

My Review:  Let's talk about food shall we!

I personally love eating. I love looking at delicious pictures of food and am not too shabby in the kitchen. So as you can imagine,  I was excited to review this cookbook!  You can see some of my home made food pics on www.weddingsbooksnwine.com

I absolutely loved this book from the bright cheerful colors to the hilarious stories in between.  I especially liked how easy and simplistic the recipes were. The pictures were realistic and not so artful that they seemed intimidating. I found myself salivating over the list of ingredients on more than a few occasions. This cook book has a homey feel to the writing.  It was almost like cooking with your mom or best friend as they shared an afternoon in the kitchen with you. The faith laced chuckle breaks were so refreshing and funny I found myself laughing out loud with tears in my eyes. There is a smattering of biblical reference but it is not too over done...not like the twice cooked fried turkey...lol.

There is such a keen vitality and air of fun in this cookbook that it would make a spectacular gift for cooks of any caliber. There is literally, something in this book for everyone. The ingredients are not over precocious. I dare say that even picky eaters will find something they like. A lot of the dishes have really fun names.

I was particularly impressed with the honesty and relatability in which the book was written and the care to make a varied kitchen must-have tool that also recognized the need to provide some healthful option and included vegan options. The end of the book has a great section for meal planning that includes an ingredient list.
oh my yummy food board on Pinterest is definitely going to have some new additions soon

I cannot wait to try some of these delicious recipes for my husband and the banana pudding recipe...well that's gonna be all me! Being south of the Mason Dixon myself, I can truly appreciate the slight southern comfort flair that the cook book invokes. but don't just take my word for it. Pick up your own copy! This cookbook should be a definite staple in any kitchen.
